My Scottie, Piper – the seventh Scottie who has owned me, had luxating patella before age 1; 2 surgeries required because the vet found the groove the patella rides in was too shallow. The vet carved in the bone but it grew back in due to Piper was still a puppy growing. He is now 11years old and gets around pretty good.
