Awareness Day

Today, July 11th is our Scottish Terrier Health Network’s Awareness Day. This is only our 2nd Awareness Day and so activities will probably be quite light. However, whatever you do in remembrance of our Scotties please take some photos that we can upload into an Album.

Not sure what we’re going to do. Sadly there’s been far too many beloved Scotties crossing the Rainbow Bridge this year, so I think I’ll take my two Scotties, Bobby and Fabi, for a walk and sit quietly remembering those fallen bravehearts.

In the years to come, lets hope that some of us can get together to celebrate this fabulous breed.

Have a great Awareness Day – much love from Karen, Bobby and Fabi xxxx

Finlay, the inspiration for this Network together with all your own scotties that have succumbed to terminal cancers. We shall Make A Difference

Goodbye Finlay ….

Many of you are already aware that our beloved Finlay lost his fight with Bladder Cancer on Tuesday 21st May 2013. He was 10 years, 3 months and 1 week.

Finlay deserved something more than the small paragraph I posted on Facebook, but my emotions were/are still too raw. You, my good friends, were asking about him and it was all I could do to get that little post onto Facebook to let you know of his passing.

I discovered the following video posted onto my facebook timeline the following morning. A very dear friend had taken the pain and anguish away from me and produced this, the most fitting tribute to the bestest little lad. It is priceless. I shall cherish this for the rest of my life.

Thank you Ruffles de Scottie, Munchkin de Scottie and your human staff for this – you will always be remembered.

Have you had a kindness shown? Pass it on; ‘Twas not given for thee alone, Pass it on; Let it travel down the years, Let it wipe another’s tears, ‘Til in Heaven the deed appears – Pass it on.
