Continuing our series of “Your Doggies Diets” here’s another from a wonderful supporter of STHN – Thank you Beth for sharing this!
I feed my Scotties dry kibble, but I add no-salt green beans, a little handful of rice, and I cook and cut up in little cubes, sweet potatoes. They eat this twice a day and love it!!! For treats they love little slices of melon, and seedless watermelon.
See how easy it is to share your doggies diets with us. So come on, send us yours. You might just help someone decide to change the diet of their scottie and make a difference to it’s health! If like to share your menu or feeding regime, just drop us a line email@example.com
We feed our little boy 50 grams of kibble ( Acana grain free ) and 25 grams of cooked lamb, turkey, chicken, bison, or salmon twice a day. Allergy testing revealed that he is allergic to corn, soy, beef, and of all things RICE! He is o.k. with wheat, so for treats we use spoonsized shredded wheat biscuits. He was having some acid reflux issues first thing in the morning, so the vet suggested a bedtime snack. It worked like a charm. His step-sister, the hound mix, that we rescued gets the same at feeding time although roughly twice the ration as per her size.
